課程概述 |
Course Description
This integrated English course aims to enhance students’ English proficiency and help students foster an interest in learning English and a rounded understanding of English and American cultures. Critical thinking is also of the essence in this course, and students are expected to become critical readers and thinkers.
Each week’s section is divided into three parts––listening, reading, and group discussion.

This course aims to improve students’ English proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Requirements
1. Regular attendance and active class participation
2. Two writing practices: each student is expected to write lyrics for a chosen song and a 500-word critical essay.
3. Group collaboration/presentation: each group, consisting of 5-6 members, will give a 20-minute group presentation in any form (penal talk, mini-play, debate, etc.) towards the end of the semester.
